I've had a lot of trouble with sound for this project, and recently found out that the person I asked to do the music (in March 2020), can now no longer do so. This was, as I'm sure you can imagine, very stressful...
I am very very lucky though, as my sister who makes music/sings as a hobby has stepped in and will be doing the soundtrack for the film. Meaning I can focus on finishing the film and then I can add the sound effects on top. It's a lesson learned, to make sure in future there is a lot of communication with the person I ask to do my sound so that I don't get caught out at the very last minute if they can no longer do it.
I'm incredibly grateful to my sister for agreeing to do the music, and in a lot of ways, I'm kicking myself for not asking her earlier! It's really lovely that there will be the added dimension to this film of having my sisters sound intertwined with the animation. I'm really excited to see what she produces! Most of her music is synth based and is very interesting. I'm her biggest fan so I hope everyone will love it as much as I do.
